1292

There are 3 track lighting types on the market, namely Halo Track System (H-type), Juno Track System (J-type), and Lightolier Track System (L-type). They are basically all functional equivalent system, excepts for the availability and cost. H-type is more common and cost less, while J-type and L-type are less common and cost more due to less competition from vendors.

Here, we mainly introduce two of them, H-type and J-type.

Halo Track System (H-type)

The H-type system is known as 3-wire single circuit systems and is the most popular track system on the market today.

If you look at the track, then there should be 2 strip of wire on one side and 1 strip of wire on the other side. If you look at the back of the fixture junction plate, then there should be 2 clip terminals on one side and 1 clip terminal on the other side.

Juno Track System (J-type)

The J-type system is known as 2 wire-wide single circuit system. If you look at the track, then there should be 1 strip of wire on one side and 1 strip of wire on the other side. If you look at the back of the fixture junction plate, then there should be 1 clip terminals on one side and 1 clip terminal on the other side.
